Data Features
With an unbeaten reputation for quality, Nikkei provides a wealth of information contained in the Tanshin and Yuho corporate financial reports, which are led up to 45 days after the end of each scale quarter by all companies listed on the Japanese stock markets.
The data contained in the reports is provided in addition to extra data and data on unlisted companies collected by Nikkei.
NEEDS also provides the unique information such as sales and profits forecasts of listed companies by the Nikkei’s reporters which would not necessarily be included in the Yuho or Tanshin reports.
In addition to Corporate Financial Statements, NEEDS contains highly detailed Corporate Attributes and Action les, the latter containing all Action data on listed companies from as far back as 1970.

Corporate Financial Statements
Covers all companies submitting Yuho* corporate financial reports - listed, JASDAQ Listed and unlisted companies - going back as far as FYE April 1964*.
The data contains wealth of information provided in Tanshin* and Yuho* reports as well as additional data collected by Nikkei. These recorded data includes; Full balance sheets, Income statements, Cash flow, Financial ratios.
Corporate Attribute Data
It provides the latest available attribute information such as company name, company address, listing information, etc. covering over 30,000 companies nationwide.
Earnings Estimates by Company
Earning trend (forecast and results) such as sales, recurring profits, etc. of all listed companies, provided by companies and compiled by Nikkei, based on flash reports and company disclosed revisions in earning projections.
Contains both earning estimate and earning result data on Consolidated/Unconsolidated and Annual/Interim/Quarterly basis for all Listed and JASDAQ listed companies.

Data on changes in shareholder's equity and new bond issuance of individual companies, created on the basis of the materials disclosed by them and those disclosed by stock exchanges in a time series manner.

Nikkei NEEDS allows you to access this information easily, through a variety of different methods to suit your individual requirements. Data is stored on the Nikkei servers for future reference, allowing you to access over 40 years of corporate financial statements.
The information provided by Nikkei is accessible in a common format from one source, allowing you to accurately compare companies within each industrial sector and across sectors.
The Yuho reports contain all income statements, balance sheets, shareholding information, corporate attribute data, cash flow statements, inventory valuation data, profit margins and other financial index data.
